Team Building Event
& Entertaining Summer Interns
This popular event builds camaraderie with hands-on activities. It is also a great ice breaker for summer interns. Includes Hands-on cooking, a Wok 'n Walk Tour of Philadelphia Chinatown and a full dinner with beer & wine. Can add produce carving demo.
Start with Hands-on Dim Sum making. Dim sum in Cantonese for "heart's delight" and includes a variety of small, mouth-watering dishes. Teams will make American, Shang Hai and Hong Kong Wontons, Pork Shu Mai and three types of dumplings - Shark Fin, American and Shang Hai. Everyone is encouraged to eat, drink and have fun while they cook together. The teams will also prepare Asian Fusion Appetizers (Eggplant with Pita Bread, Peking Duck Tacos, Peking Duck with Lotus Leaf Steamed Bun) which will be part of the dinner served later in the evening and serve as sous chefs, doing prep work, such as chopping vegetables. Next, the group will take a mini-Chinatown Tour with Chef Poon. Afterwards, they'll relax and eat an elegant lobster, fish and chicken dinner including all of the Asian Fusion appetizers and vegetables they prepared. Includes beer and wine.
Hands-on cooking, mini-tour and full dinner with beer and wine costs $85 per person plus tax (7%) and tip (18%).
All events are held at 1010 Cherry Street, 2nd floor, Philadelphia Chinatown.
