New for Spring 2013 – Fresh Seafood Dining with Chef Joseph Poon…

As is his tradition, Chef Poon creates special banquets throughout the year.

The Chinese calendar is filled with special holidays and celebrations and sometimes Chef creates his own cause to celebrate!

Chef Poon’s most recent offering is a true learning experience: Fresh seafood dining with Chef Poon.  Chef hosts you and your private  group at one of his favorite Asian restaurants  for a special menu created  by him and painstakingly prepared for his dinner guests.  As you enjoy one entree after another, Chef teaches you what fresh seafood really is, including how to know seafood is fresh and how to properly eat different types of seafood as he shares his recipes and secrets discovered over the years as an important player in Philadelphia restaurant history.   Entrees include an 8 item hotpot creation, whole shrimp appetizer plate, giant scallop, oysters and more.  These dinners take place between 5 and 7 pm and can be booked exclusively with Chef Poon.   If you are interested in scheduling a private healthy seafood dining experience, call 215-928-9333 to make reservations.  In addition,  we will be scheduling these private chef dining opportunities every month or so throughout the year if you are part of a couple or smaller group.  How do you eat fresh shrimp prepared Asian style?  Maybe you receive the largest scallop you’ve ever seen.   Chef Poon will teach you as you experience the tastes and culinary delights of the healthiest and  freshest seafood to be found.  Learn, enjoy and have fun with Chef Poon as your host during this excellent and fun dining experience.

Chef Poon also offers seasonal specialty menus for holidays such as the Lantern Festival, Dragonboat Festival and Mooncake Festival.

His annual  Chinese New Year  Banquets are the highlight of the year and are served every January through March. Each menu offers traditional and modern dishes to delight his guests.
